Left Trigger Right Trigger

Join us every other week as we convene the 'video game book club.' Each episode is structured around a topic: anything from 'Trust' to 'Robots' to 'Body Parts'. Listen in as your hosts each bring a game to the table that they think exemplifies that topic in some way. Give us a shot, won't you?

Welcome new listeners! Thank you everyone who talked to us at PodCon - hope you like an episode full of eels. We're back from Seattle and ready to really slop down a whole pie. Giovanni channels Reggie Fils-Aimé and his love of big pizza. Colin teaches everyone the best way to watch the Ratchet and Clank film. Greg gets spicy about his favorite Chex Mix flavors. Dave refuses to "Weekend at Bernie's" his fellow hosts.

Thanks to our listener Bonecake for suggesting this topic!

We will be doing our annual 24-hour charity stream starting at 10 a.m. ET February 16 - 17 as we injure ourselves in order to benefit the AbleGamers Charity. We'll be playing 24 of our favorite games from 2018 (even though no games came out last year). Follow us on Twitch in preparation for our stream!

For the latest updates on our upcoming stream (or to make a topic suggestion just like Bonecake did) make sure to follow us on Twitter or Facebook. You can see highlights from last year's stream over on our YouTube Channel. Finally, if you like what you hear, please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts.

Games discussed include Chex Quest, Doom (2016), Robocraft, and Ratchet and Clank (2016).

REMINDER: LTRT WILL BE AT PODCON JAN 19-20! WE'LL BE SHARING A TABLE WITH OUR FRIENDS AT THE ONCE AND FUTURE NERD - COME GIVE US A HIGH FIVE! NOW BACK TO THE SHOW NOTES YOU KNOW AND LOVE.

It was the year 3019 and President Gex was in the middle of his 14th consecutive term in office. Staring out the window of the Oval Office, sipping termite bourbon from an ancient crystal tumbler, he watched the rain patter against the glass and grew nostalgic. His finely honed software-driven mind began to wander to where his journey to office began....100 years before........

Looking for a place to begin your journey? Why not follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Find all sorts of beginners' guides on our YouTube Channel. And let us know if this helped you on Apple Podcasts. We really appreciate it!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: LTRT WILL BE AT PODCON JAN 19 - 20! WE'LL BE SHARING A TABLE WITH OUR FRIENDS AT THE ONCE AND FUTURE NERD - COME SAY HI! NOW ON WITH THE SHOW NOTES.

Congratulations listeners! We've made it to the last LTRT episode of 2018. And what an odd year it's been, since literally no games have come out. As you can imagine, it's been unbelievably complicated to create a video game podcast when there just aren't any dang new games to talk about. Hopefully 2019 will be a little better. Tune in as Giovanni climbs a mountain, Dave plays a song, Colin get devoured, and Greg kills a man.

Send all your new year's resolutions to our DMs on Facebook and Twitter. Send us your favorite new year's eve kiss ASMR videos over on our YouTube Channel. And please tell us about how bad your hangover is over on Apple Podcasts. We'd really appreciate it.

Games discussed include Celeste, Wandersong, The Yawhg, and God of War 2

Winter is, well, here, and your hosts have a brand new episode to keep you warm on those dark, lonely nights. Greg hibernates through the whole episode. Giovanni and Colin have a nice fireside chat about snowboarding. Dave pitches the most ambitious crossover of all time. It's an episode the whole family can love, except for maybe the first 20 minutes that's all thirsting for The Grinch.

Please send us your personalized Grinch fan fiction on Facebook and Twitter. You can leave your warm beverage recipes in the comments section of our YouTube Channel. And don't forget to leave us a little holiday present by writing us a review on Apple Podcasts. We'd really appreciate it.

Games discussed include The Grinch, Never Alone, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Snowboard Kids 2.

Greg spoils a game moment that has been around for decades. Giovanni reveals a hidden tragic ending that never came to be. Colin lives for the BBC serials that end in tragedy. Dave examines the tragedy that is Josef Fares.

Please feel free to send us your cathartic insights into tragedy over on our Facebook and Twitter. We're accepting rolling submissions  for ironic tragedies in the comments on our YouTube Channel. Finally, please leave us a lament and a wail over on Apple Podcasts. We'd really appreciate it.

WELCOME, BELOVED LISTENERS, TO THE LEFT TRIGGER RIGHT TRIGGER COMEDY HOUR. Tonight's very special episode features all an all star cast of comedic players, here to tickle your funny bone on the topic of "Comedy." Master of Ceremonies Dave immediately supplants the regular host in making this the funniest episode of LTRT on this particular topic. Infamous magician's assistant Colin discusses what it was like in the secret diablo basement. World renowned clown impersonator Greg brings his tragic-comedic stylings to the table in order to totally rag on NPR. What do you think, everyone?

Welcome to a vaguely spooky episode of Left Trigger Right Trigger. Slightly scary guest Andrew Zucosky joins your hosts to discuss "Disempowerment," a word that may not actually exist. And how appropriate, dear listeners, because is there anything as ambiguously eerie as the plausible deniability of existence?

Tune in as Andrew gushes over anything approximating a tentacle. Greg talks about his jaws that bite, his claws that catch. Giovanni says he's not going to talk about something and then totally talks about it. Colin discovers they're powered by blood. Dave pitches a phenomenal crossover hit of a game.

We'd love to hear about your ideas for disempowering games over on Facebook and Twitter. You can also tune in to our currently disempowered YouTube Channel. And, if you feel up to it, leave us a review on Apple Podcasts. We'd really appreciate it.
