Left Trigger Right Trigger

Join us every other week as we convene the 'video game book club.' Each episode is structured around a topic: anything from 'Trust' to 'Robots' to 'Body Parts'. Listen in as your hosts each bring a game to the table that they think exemplifies that topic in some way. Give us a shot and remember, games are just metaphors.

Have you heard the word? Do you know the secret phrase? This episode is for those in the know ONLY. "Conspiracy" is the topic, brought to us from fellow Illuminati Alex Choate - @achoatexo on Instagram! Greg falls down a Half-Life 3 rabbit hole. Colin explains how different timelines intersect. Dave condemns DARPA. Giovanni is here to tell you the kids are all right (but what's in those chemtrails, ya know?)

Send us your coded messages Twitter and Facebook, or subliminally communicate with us on our YouTube Channel. You can see us live (no body doubles, we promise) over on Twitch. Finally, if you like what you hear, leave a note for our secret alien overlords over at Apple Podcasts.

Greg is happy to no longer be debating interesting things or having nice conversations. Giovanni explores the uneasy space between power and punishment. Colin has thoughts about eggs.

What's better than four hosts on this show? Four hosts PLUS a special guest! Andrew (@arhenderson) from fellow videogame podcast Debate This! joins the LTRT crew for a full hour of spicy takes and unpopular opinions. It's our most controversial and unpopular episode yet! Andrew walks us through how we can accidentally kill god using the power of friendship. Greg hates on every 90s kids' favorite Legend of Zelda game. Dave tries to redeem Anthem. Giovanni mourns the loss of BossKey Studios. Colin has eels on the mind.

You can hear more of Andrew's hot takes by subscribing to Debate This! As always, you can find Left Trigger Right Trigger on Twitter and Facebook, as well as our YouTube Channel. We're also occasionally on Twitch, where we keep all our eels. Finally, if you like what you hear, we'd really appreciate it if you could leave us a review on Apple Podcasts.

REMINDER: LTRT WILL BE AT PODCON JAN 19-20! WE'LL BE SHARING A TABLE WITH OUR FRIENDS AT THE ONCE AND FUTURE NERD - COME GIVE US A HIGH FIVE! NOW BACK TO THE SHOW NOTES YOU KNOW AND LOVE.

It was the year 3019 and President Gex was in the middle of his 14th consecutive term in office. Staring out the window of the Oval Office, sipping termite bourbon from an ancient crystal tumbler, he watched the rain patter against the glass and grew nostalgic. His finely honed software-driven mind began to wander to where his journey to office began....100 years before........

Looking for a place to begin your journey? Why not follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Find all sorts of beginners' guides on our YouTube Channel. And let us know if this helped you on Apple Podcasts. We really appreciate it!

Games discussed include Final Fantasy VIII, Sid Meier's Civilization IV, Animal Crossing, and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: LTRT WILL BE AT PODCON JAN 19 - 20! WE'LL BE SHARING A TABLE WITH OUR FRIENDS AT THE ONCE AND FUTURE NERD - COME SAY HI! NOW ON WITH THE SHOW NOTES.

Congratulations listeners! We've made it to the last LTRT episode of 2018. And what an odd year it's been, since literally no games have come out. As you can imagine, it's been unbelievably complicated to create a video game podcast when there just aren't any dang new games to talk about. Hopefully 2019 will be a little better. Tune in as Giovanni climbs a mountain, Dave plays a song, Colin get devoured, and Greg kills a man.

Send all your new year's resolutions to our DMs on Facebook and Twitter. Send us your favorite new year's eve kiss ASMR videos over on our YouTube Channel. And please tell us about how bad your hangover is over on Apple Podcasts. We'd really appreciate it.

Games discussed include Celeste, Wandersong, The Yawhg, and God of War 2
