Left Trigger Right Trigger

Join us every other week as we convene the 'video game book club.' Each episode is structured around a topic: anything from 'Trust' to 'Robots' to 'Body Parts'. Listen in as your hosts each bring a game to the table that they think exemplifies that topic in some way. Give us a shot and remember, games are just metaphors.

Listeners! Who could have anticipated that your LTRT hosts would do yet another Father's Day episode?? You'd think that by the 6ixth one of these we'd know better, but you know what they say: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me six times, I have a condition.  Welcome to the 6ixth Annual Father's Day Dadstravanganza: The Red Herring (Respectfully). We know we just had a fishing episode a little bit ago, but this one is for the DADS! Dads out there, this episode is for you. Here's what you can look forward to in this year's Dadstravanganza: Giovanni brainstorms the ideal videogame for dads. David washes down the deck. Greg really mixes up his dad references. Tess has some advice for you beta dads out there.

If you're a dad and you'd like to support our show, head over to patreon.com/LTRT and toss us some spare change. Think of it as an allowance - we'll do the chores (tell you bad jokes) and you give us the money. Sound good? Sounds good to us.  Also If you don't have the cash to support us right now you can always leave us a review on your podcatcher of choice (including on Spotify for some reason!)

Hey also check out lefttriggerrighttrigger.com for all the content you could ever need.

Games discussed include: PowerWash Simulator, Cyberpunk 2077, Pac-Man, and Spore.

It's getting hot out there. Wouldn't you like to cool off with some nice, refreshing, thirst-quenching paint? Now we know what you're thinking: "Isn't paint toxic?" But here at Left Trigger Right Trigger we don't prescribe to such pedantic categorizations like "toxic" or "healthy" or "pedantic." We just aim to make sure you're taking care of yourself the best way we can, which in this case is a big tub of paint right down your gullet.* What're our favorite ways to enjoy paint via video games? Well we're glad you asked! Giovanni gets industrious with some definitions. Greg comes face to face with his inadequacies. David discusses how much joy Pizza brings him. Tess helps shine a light on the perils of giving children wall candy.

As always, a huge, huge thank you to our patrons. Your support means the world to us and we hope you'll join our discord! Hey folks, it's me Buzz Lightyear of the hit film Lightyear. I'm here on LTRT's fishing episode to let you know that you can see my film in June and also, contrary to some rumors, I've never farted in my space suit, not even once. Anyway, I've been told I have to read the following to you despite this being a written description, so just imagine this in my voice I guess? Here goes:

Fishing! What is it? Who does it? How has it influenced human society, culture, and language? We explore these questions and more in this videogame podcast. Greg flexes his fly fishing skills. David explains why fishing is a bad time. Tess starts a fight with all fish everywhere. Giovanni bears his flaccid claws.

Hey listeners... we know in the last episode we said we wanted a normal, regular episode. And maybe Beige wasn't quite standard for us. In fact, maybe it was an overcorrection - Beige was too normal of an episode. In response, here's a normal episode that's the normal amount of normal. That sentence makes sense, we promise. Welcome to the Racing episode!

In this episode - David discovers the secret of his namesake. Giovanni becomes a dog - it's all sinking in now. Tess gets distracted. Greg delivers the State of the Union
