Left Trigger Right Trigger

Join us every other week as we convene the 'video game book club.' Each episode is structured around a topic: anything from 'Trust' to 'Robots' to 'Body Parts'. Listen in as your hosts each bring a game to the table that they think exemplifies that topic in some way. Give us a shot and remember, games are just metaphors.

Listeners - we say this with all sincerity. Times are hard right now and we are all in this together. We’re bringing you this episode on Isolation in the hopes that it brings you some amount of levity and humor in the face of something that, we feel, none of us know how to address or even fully comprehend. We know this little gaming podcast can’t do much but we’re going to do all that we can. Please stay safe and know that you are not alone.

Games discussed include No Man’s Sky, Alto’s Odyssey, Cosmochoria, and Minecraft

February 28th is the official three-year anniversary of Left Trigger Right Trigger and what better way to celebrate it than with a special "Trilogy" episode! If you make it through the first 10 minutes of 311 talk we do eventually discuss games. Giovanni discusses IP burnout once the third game rolls around. Greg wonders how many different ways there are to steal cars. Dave thinks the third game in a series is the ideal on boarding spot for new players. Colin reveals the secret trilogy we've all been playing for years.

Listeners, we know you've been holding out for a hero. Good news - there are definitely a couple of them in this episode and only a little bit of discussion about Cats and other media. Listeners, this episode is all about going fast: blue streaks, blue falcons, blue mushrooms - everything you normally associate with Speed. Join us as we explore the idea of speed in games, from speed running to speed typing.  Also, 3/4 of your hosts are sick in this episode so please forgive our terrible, monstrous voices.
